Welcome to Bike Benzie!

Created by the Benzie Sunrise Rotary Club of Beulah, Michigan, the Bike Benzie Tour is an annual charity ride for the benefit of area youth. Cosponsors of this year's event will include host Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa in Thompsonville, Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital in Frankfort and the Benzie County Visitors Bureau.

In addition to helping area youth, a portion of the proceeds raised by the Tour will be contributed to the Rotary International Foundation to provide matching funds for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation"s $255 million challenge grant to eradicate polio worldwide.

The Benzie Sunrise Rotary Club was established in 2000 to foster the Rotary ideal of service above self, with a special emphasis upon serving area youth. In 2008 Club members established the Benzie Sunrise Rotary Foundation to receive charitable contributions and proceeds from Club fundraisers to further benefit the youth of Benzie County.

Organizations that have benefited from the Sunrise Club include the Rotary International Youth Foundation, Special Olympics, Benzie Central and Frankfort/Elberta Schools, Odyssey of the Mind, Betsie Valley Trail, summer camp scholarships, youth life leadership, local food pantries and the Rotary International Foundation.
